We packed and dithered and Claire was up and said "Are you going to the beach?" and Dodo said "I don't know - we're conflicted" and she said "We're not. Conflicted." So we all had ~3 final hours on the beach with the fruit girls and a perfect hot blue sky (Thursday had been cloudy, not beach weather at all, but we stayed all day anyway), then showered and checked out and took the 1:30 bus back to Phnom Penh. Which was not so bad, just one night in the Sun Shine Hotel and back to the Balinese restaurant (but Dan still not feeling well and poked at his food, and Dodo's sinuses went haywire as soon as we hit the city, so we went to bed right after dinner - 10 PM or so). Beggar children were literally hanging off our arms as we tried to walk back to the hotel along Sisawath Quay. Ruth lagged behind and bought some gifts for her friends back home.
